There's Soul At Momo's ~ Austin

It was a great night of music at Momo’s last night. We were honored to share the stage with some great Austin acts. Megan Tubb took the stage at 8pm and rocked the house, rarely do you see a young lady that can really take charge of a 6 string. The Sideshow Tragedy when on at 9pm and took total command of the stage with there brand of super high energy punk blues, the used every element of the room including the tables in the front row, check some youtube footage I'm sure you’ll see what I'm talking about. We were blessed with the 10pm spot and a packed house to which we took full advantage. Seeing that many new faces in a city like austin was a real treat, we may have turned the corner there last night. Our homeboys from Dertybird when on directly after us and shelled out there brand of southern rockin’ blues. Greyhounds closed out the night with a gritty 90 min of shake your rump funk. The “Funkytown Workmeisters” graced the stage for a couple tunes with them towards the end of the night and showed once again Fort Worth knows what’s up. Last night was what all gigs should be about,like minded bands, with like minded people all moving as one. It was almost kinda like attending a sunday morning service. thanks to all the folks that came out and supported us. Special thanks to the other acts for letting us share the stage. HALLELUJAH!

Luna Live ~ San Antonio

We made our second trip to San Antonio’s Luna last night, and it was fantastic. Turnout was unexpectedly great again (thanks Jason Boe). San Antonio is quickly becoming one of our favorite towns. The local paper always gives us a nice write up before we get to town so many thanks to the people a the San Antonio Express News.

Luna itself is just a bad ass room. Rarely do you find a venue that specializes in rhythm & blues and jazz. I’m happy to say our poster made the wall of fame! All in all it was a very successful night. Thanks to all of you who came out last night! We’ll be back soon.

So we finally got to see San Antonio for real yesterday. We spent the day downtown eating some good Mexican food and spending way too much money on junk at the the mexican marketplace. I got a new hat I'm pretty proud of, and a cool Alamo hat pin, Kevin got some new bling, Bryan nearly spent $10 on a random bear claw but opted out after realizing it was $10 for a bear claw.

Jeff bought our new hype man “Guillermo” a foot tall mexican marionette that will be gracing the stage with us from now on. Sounds weird but you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Now onto Austin for an evening jams at Momo’s, with our buddies from Dertybird, pics and “post game” report will be up tomorrow. Hollla!
